Innovative Assessment, Allowing Students to Learn While Playing

On June 12th, at the invitation of the Department of Educational Psychology, Hong Jiao, Associate Professor of Department of Human Development and Quantitative Methodology at the University of Maryland, College Park, attended the 3rd International Educational Psychology Forum, bringing a wonderful lecture on technical enhancement to the teachers and students of the Faculty of Education. A wonderful lecture on the Development and Modeling of Technology-Enhanced Innovative Assessment. The lecture was hosted by Associate Reseracher Chanjin Zhen from the Department of Educational Psychology. The whole lecture made the audience feel greatly benefited.
In the morning session, Professor Jiao introduced different types of technology-enhanced innovative assessment including game-based and simulation-based assessment. She further highlighted the opportunities and challenges associated with such data-rich innovation in terms of scoring and modeling. Several psychometric models and approaches were presented.
In the afternoon symposium, Professor Jiao put forward constructive opinions on the research topics of the master and doctoral students. In addition, Professor Jiao and Professor Xiangdong Yang, conducted in-depth discussions on the topics, such as postgraduate training, academic exchanges, and project cooperation. |
