Professor David Yun Dai Talked About Creative Thinking and the Development of The Department Of Educational Psychology

July 2nd afternoon, David Yun Dai, the professor of the department of Education and Counseling Psychology in State University of New York(Albany), USA, was invited to attend the Education and Counseling Psychology Seminar.
First, Professor Dai launched a full and insightful discussion on the current educational psychological frontier topics with the department Dean, Professor Xiangdong Yang, Professor Jiaxian Zhou and Dr. Jing Zhang. Meanwhile, Professor Dai put forward constructive opinions on the graduate students' dissertations on creative thinking.
After that, Professor Yang gave an in-depth introduction to the research directions, research teams and major construction initiatives of the department of Educational Psychology.
According to the information about the department of Educational Psychology,Professor Dai made targeted suggestions for the future development of the Department of Educational Psychology. He recommended to pay attention to the positioning of educational psychology, including three aspects: First, educational psychology is the application of psychology in educational practice (teaching), or psychology in educational context; Second, to pursue the discipline of educational psychology, or to solve real problems; Third, in the context of the increasingly differentiated reality of the discipline, how does educational psychology integrate the resources of various disciplines and position its unique contributions. All these suggestions received positive responses from the participants
In the end, Professor Dai and Professor Yang reached a consensus on the future cooperation and exchange between the two sides. |
