Liu Hongyun

Professor and Doctoral Supervisor, Faculty of Psychology, Beijing Normal University. Her research has long focused on the development and application of quantitative research methods in psychology as well as educational assessment methodologies. She has published nearly 200 academic papers in top domestic and international journals, including Acta Psychologica Sinica, Psychological Methods, Psychometrika, Behavioral Research Methods, and Structural Equation Modeling. She has authored and edited 15 textbooks and monographs, and serves as chief editor of Advanced Psychological Statistics and the book series Frontier Research on Core Competency Assessment. She has presided over more than 30 research projects, including Major Key Projects of Philosophy and Social Sciences Research of the Ministry of Education, projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and major commissioned special projects of the Ministry of Education. She is also a key participant in major national initiatives such as the Science and Technology Innovation 2030 Major Project and the revision of national curriculum standards. She holds academic appointments including Committee Member of the Measurement Methods Division of the American Educational Research Association, Executive Member of the International Association for Data Science and Analytics, and Chair of the Statistics and Measurement Branch of the Chinese Society of Education. Yang Xiangdong

Professor, Researcher and Doctoral Supervisor, Chair of the Department of Educational Psychology, East China Normal University. Her main research interests include psychological and educational measurement, cognitive item design, and competency-oriented teaching and assessment. She currently serves as a member of the Expert Committee of the National Textbook Committee and a core member of the Steering Group for the Revision of Compulsory Education Curriculum under the Ministry of Education. She has presided over a number of national research projects, including programs funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the National Education Science Planning Project.


Lecture Abstract

Intensive longitudinal studies adopt repeated continuous measurements of individuals at short time intervals, providing a crucial methodological approach to uncovering the dynamic developmental processes of psychological, behavioral and situational factors. In recent years, this method has been widely applied in social science fields such as psychology, education and management. Focusing on the research design of intensive longitudinal studies, reliability and validity analysis of measurement instruments, and statistical modeling approaches, this lecture introduces the major advances and practical applications of intensive longitudinal methods. The content covers the types and characteristics of intensive longitudinal study design, methodological progress in the reliability analysis of measurement tools, and the development and application of statistical analytical models for intensive longitudinal data.
