Associate Professor Bian Wu Explains the Latest Development of Education Technology

On May 16th, at the invitation of the Department of Educational Psychology(DEP), Associate Professor Bian Wu, the deputy Dean of the Department of Education Information Technology, East China Normal University, visited the third Educational Psychology Interdisciplinary Salon held by DEP. Profess Wu gave a wonderful talk on Collaborative Problem Solving Modeling Based on Cognitive Network Analysis. The salon was hosted by Associate Professor Yi Jiang, the deputy Dean of DEP.

Professor Wu first introduced his two researches. The first is about the ENA approach using cognitive network analysis to track the student performance in collaborative problem solving. Professor Wu used the recent film The Avengers 4 as an example to introduce the relationship among the network establishment.

 

The second study is about the evaluation of computational thinking. Professor Wu first emphasized the importance of computational thinking in the context of the information age in the 21st century, and then showed how to explore the computational thinking patterns of students in a collaborative programming environment and analyzed the main conclusions of the study.

During the Q & A session, the participants had an in-depth exchange with Professor Wu on the technical issues in CPS research, the application prospects in the field of education and psychology, and the future cooperation with DEP.
