The International Advisory Committee Visited and Guided the Development of the Department of Educational Psychology

On the morning of April 25th, the Development Consultation Meeting of the Department of Educational PsychologyDEP was held in the Wenke Building 201. Professor Richard Anderson from the University of Illinois, Professor Mimi Bong from Korea University, Professor Matthias Ziegler from Humboldt University, Germany, and Professor Herbert Hoijtink from the University of Utrecht, the Netherlands, advises on various aspects of DEP.

Professor Xiangdong Yang, the Dean of the Department of Educational Psychology, first introduced the discipline construction direction and development vision of the Department to the experts.

The four professors agreed that DEP accurately judged the development direction of Educational Psychology, and highly praised the discipline construction plan that integrates China's national conditions and the international development model.

 

 

The professors made in-depth communication with all the teachers in the research team planning, faculty construction and medium and long-term sustainable development, and made suggestions for how DEP can develop sustainably.

 

Associate Professor Yi Jiang introduced the talent training program of DEP to the professors, and asked the Professors about how to scientifically design a postgraduate training program in line with the international development trends. The four professors have made suggestions on how to better cultivate talents in disciplines, comprehensively cultivating academic ability of graduate students, promoting the formation of graduate research groups, attaching importance to the integration and utilization of graduates and all relevant resources, promoting the construction of English courses, and strengthening international academic exchanges.

Finally, Professor Jiang introduced the learning laboratory project that was promoted by DEP. The participating professors highly praised the concept and design of the learning lab, and believed that the scientific evaluation and intervention of students' learning and development based on modern information technology will lead the development of future educational research. The professors expressed their strong interest in participating in the research, and plan to have further multi-faceted deep cooperation with DEP.
