Prof. Hao Ning Explains the Creative Synchronization Mechanism of Brain Activity

On April 18th, at the invitation of the Department of Educational Psychology of the Faculty of Education, Professor Ning Hao, the Associate Dean of the School of Psychology and Cognitive Science of East China Normal University, Shanghai Shuguang Scholar, and the Director of the School Educational Psychology Branch of the China Education Association, attended the second Educational Psychology Interdisciplinary Salon to bring a wonderful talk entitled Synchronization o Brain Activity in the Process of Group Creativity . The salon was hosted by Jiang Yi, the deputy director and associate professor of the Department of Educational Psychology.

Professor Hao first introduced several types of equipment for measuring Interpersonal Brain Synchronization (IBS), including their functions, characteristics, price, availability, and comparison. Later, Prof. Hao elaborated on the principle and application of Near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS), and focused on the detection principle of IBS. After that, Professor Hao introduced the method of applying IBS to specific research with practical cases.


  


Prof. Hao also introduced in detail the three series of researches on the measurement and promotion of group creativity by his own research team. He explained the application of synchronization technology of brain activity in practical research.


  


In the Q & A session, the participants had an in-depth exchange with Professor Hao on the technical issues in IBS research, the application prospects in the field of education and psychology, and the future cooperation with the Department of Educational Psychology.
